      Lukewarm? What's that?

      Revelation: 3:16 (Hazon: 3:16)

I'm sure many of you may have heard the saying, "Lukewarm Christian." Or you've heard someone refer to people as lukewarm. So what exactly does that mean?

The bible mentions being lukewarm in Revelation 3:16, "So, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I am going to vomit you out of My mouth." (ISR Version)

I believe everyone has been guilty of this at one point in time. At least I know I have! I grew up knowing that The Most High is real. I attended church at my own free will as a teenager and all that good stuff. I got baptized at the age of 17. And I made sure everyone knew that I believed wholeheartedly in our Savior. I did all of these things, yet... I wasn't walking like someone that truly followed Him.

I would say all of these things, yet, I would still go and do whatever it was that I wanted to do. And half the time, not feeling any kind of way about it, because in my heart, I knew I believed in the Father. And for some odd reason, I used that as my safety net. As if just believing was enough.

It wasn't until I TRULY surrendered my life over to The Most High in December of 2022, that The Father opened my eyes and showed me just how far away I had truly been from Him all these years.

Now don't get me wrong. I still held on to the morals and values I was taught growing up. I just simply wasn't putting The Most High first in everything I did. I was unconsciously putting any and everybody first. Putting my own selfish wants and needs first. Not walking in any kind of faith. And thinking I could do everything on my own. That was ultimately my downfall.

Matthew 6:24 states, "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon."

Mammon: deceitful riches, money & possessions.

The enemy, satan, is the ruler of flesh. But our Heavenly Father is the ruler of both flesh & Spirit. We must make a decision. Either we will choose fleshly desires (hence, choosing the enemy and the things of this world) or we will choose The Heavenly Father. We cannot continue to ride the fence and think that it is okay. The Father wants us to give Him our heart, but if our heart is riding the fence, then we can easily fall to the side of the enemy. And that kind of person cannot make it into the Kingdom.

First seek the Kingdom of YAH, and then righteousness. For nobody can gain righteousness alone. Only with the help of our Heavenly Father, can we accomplish that.
